We're a local family-run business that treats every lawn as if it were our own. Chris brings 23 years of professional turf management expertise; Jess ensures every client receives seamless communication and a premium experience from first call to final stripe.

23 Years on the UK's Finest Turf
Chris Maynard didn't just learn lawn care on the job — he studied it. With a BSc (Hons) in Turfgrass Science and 23 years of hands-on greenkeeping at some of the world's most demanding courses, he brings a level of scientific understanding that sets Green Stripe apart from every other lawn company in the region.
His career has taken him from championship courses in Milton Keynes to The London Club in Kent, and even across the Atlantic to Pinehurst in the USA — one of the most prestigious golf resorts on the planet. At each venue, Chris mastered the art of reading turf: the colour tells you about iron levels, the texture reveals thatch depth, the bounce reveals root structure.
When Chris and Jess relocated to Widemouth Bay in 2024, they saw an opportunity. The lawns of North Cornwall and North Devon were crying out for the same level of scientific expertise that Chris had been delivering to professional sports facilities and world-class courses for over a decade.
Green Stripe was born from that gap — bringing degree-level turfgrass science and genuine championship-grade knowledge to residential and commercial properties within a 40-mile radius.
